Men’s
County Match Regulations

1.
Teams for County Friendly & Tourist Matches
shall be selected in accordance with Men’s Rule 1(d) (ii)
2.
Nominations for County Friendly & Tourist
Matches must be submitted on the official Nomination form provided.
3 The official
Nomination form must be completed and returned to the Hon. Match Secretary by
the date shown on the form.
4 All players
wishing to be considered for County Friendly & Tourist Matches must be
experienced and play at a level that warrants representation for the
County.
5 Nomination of
players who have not previously represented the County must show details of
previous playing career which justifies selection. Nominations for players
who have represented other Counties should also show relevant details. In
respect of new applications, the Nomination Form must be signed by the Club
Secretary.
6 If the
Selection Committee per Men’s Rule 1(d)(ii) decide that nominations received do
not allow it to pick a strong enough team, the Committee is empowered to invite
other players who have not been nominated.
7 Officers of
the Association may be selected without nomination.
8 Players to
represent the County in Middleton Cup, Eastern Counties League, Balcomb Trophy
and White Rose Trophy Matches and
any other matches or events as may be instructed by the Men’s Management
Committee will be selected in accordance with Men’s Rule 1(d)(iii)
9 Dress for
code for matches selected in accordance with Men’s Rule 1(d) (i), (ii) &
(iii) will be advised by the Hon. Match Secretary in the match selection
notification, as directed by Management Committee
10 Dress for
code for matches selected in accordance with Men’s Rule 1(d)(i) & (ii) will
be advised by the Hon. Match Secretary in the match selection notification, as
directed by Management Committee
11 Teams for
President Invitation Matches shall be selected in accordance with Men’s Rule
1(d)(i)
12 Dress for
Presidents Invitation Matches will be advised by the Match Secretary in the
match selection notification as directed by Management Committee
13 The official
County pocket badge may be worn by the following members of affiliated Clubs:
i.
Members who qualify for the Bowls
England National Championships through the individual County Competitions.
ii.
Members who have played in three
Middleton Cup matches.
iii.
Members who have played in five Eastern
Counties League matches.
iv.
Members who have played in five
inter-county matches. This includes matches played against County Teams touring
Norfolk and matches played against County teams during the County Tour but only
two matches count in the first two years.
v.
Members who qualify for the National
Finals of all-male National Competitions run by Bowls England.
The
pocket badge shall be purchased by the recipient
14 Members
making 100 appearances or increments of 50 thereafter in the Middleton Cup
shall receive a memento to reflect this.
