CONSTITUTION AND REGULATIONS

(as adopted at the AGM held on 10th December 2017)

 

 

  1. The Trustees, the Honorary Secretary and the Honorary Treasurer shall hold the assets and property of the Fund and all moneys or property payable or accruing to the Fund UPON TRUST to apply the same to or for

(a)   the benefit of all members or dependants of such members of any Bowling Club affiliated to the Norfolk Bowls Association Men’s Section (the Association) who are in distressed circumstances or

(b)   to or for such charitable purposes as the Association shall in duly convened meeting from time to time resolve.

 

  1. There shall be three (3) Trustees appointed by the Association at a duly constituted meeting who shall hold office until their resignation as a Trustee or their removal by a resolution of the Association.

 

  1. The Honorary Secretary and the Honorary Treasurer of the Fund shall be appointed by the Trustees and Committee of the Fund.

 

  1. The Fund shall be managed by a Committee consisting of the three Trustees, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer, together two (2) members of the Association. The two members of the Association shall be elected annually by the Association in General Meeting.

 

  1. The Honorary Financial Examiners of the Association shall be appointed Financial Examiners of the Fund

 

  1. An Emergency Committee consisting of the Chairman of the Trustees and the Honorary Treasurer shall deal with all urgent matters. Either shall have the power to co-opt other Trustees and members.

 

  1. The Committee shall meet half yearly and hold such other meetings as required. The quorum shall consist of one Trustee, Honorary Secretary or Honorary Treasurer and one other member. The Committee shall annually elect a Trustee as its Chairman.

 

  1. Recommendations for assistance shall come through the Committee of Clubs and/or the Trustees or the Committee.

 

  1. All cases shall be referred to by numbers and all information concerning cases for assistance shall be confidential

 

  1. All drawings on the Fund shall have the approval of one of the Trustees, one of the elected Committee members and either the Honorary Secretary or Honorary Treasurer with the proviso that any drawings on the Fund in excess of £200 must have the approval of all Trustees & the elected Committee members

           

  1. The Accounts showing details of receipts and payments shall be made up to September 30th of each year, duly financially examined, and submitted to the Association in General Meeting.

 

  1. In the event of the Association being dissolved or of the Association resolving to discontinue the Fund the Trustees, the Honorary Secretary and the Honorary Treasurer shall hold the assets and property of the same upon Trust to transfer the same as the Association shall in duly convened meeting resolve.

 

  1. Alteration(s) of or addition(s) to any or all of the Constitution and Regulations shall be made only by the Association in General Meeting.
